'Deadpool & Wolverine' Trailer Shows Reynolds And Jackman In Another Universe

From the moment Marvel Hall of Fame Members, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, turned to social media to announce that the third instalment within the Deadpool franchise would feature a return of Jackman as the iconic character of Wolverine, uncontrollable excitement has travelled up and down the spines of comic-book lovers around the globe.

Of course, in a world that consists of a movie industry that seems to be very reliant on nostalgia bait and reoccurring cast members in order to get bottoms in seats these days, the idea of a Hugh Jackman return seemed inevitable. Others would also describe it as a 'cheap cop out' as opposed to producing a new and original storyline for the character of Deadpool.

But for most comic-book lovers around the world, seeing a live-action reunion between Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine looks much more like the redemption arc that the Marvel Cinematic Universe was so desperately in need of.

The original teaser trailer for 'Deadpool & Wolverine', released just over 2 months ago, previewed and hinted at a heavy involvement from the TVA (Time variance Authority), as previously introduced in the Marvel limited series 'Loki'.

But despite the TVA going unmentioned in the new and improved trailer for this instalment of the Deadpool trilogy, one thing we did see a lot more of is the reimagination of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. For the first time ever, we received a close-up preview of the iconic character of Logan in his original comic-book accurate yellow and blue outfit.

Although it is yet to be confirmed just how these two characters stumble across eachother in this new storyline, the trailer does hint that the two intertwine in the midst of a bar fight, constructed by the pair following an altercation that will inevitably end in bloodshed.

A small 'throw of the bone' to MCU fans all over the world was included int he dying seconds of the trailer as we see Wolverine and Wade Wilson leaping through the air towards what seems to be an inter-dimensional portal, as previously seen in recent MCU projects such as Doctor Strange and Avengers: Endgame.
